The mobile app redesign project includes the following updates:
- Use Modo Labs XModule to create API-based data feeds for integrating student platforms, including Canvas, Banner, Starfish, and DegreeWorks
- Update the current course catalog search functionality to the Online Searchable Class Schedule
- Update the registration add and drop screens functionality
- Update the existing integration with Canvas
- Implement Ethos APIs to more easily adopt future updates and enhancements from Ellucian
The redesign of the District website involves a complete rebuild of the wvm.edu site.
This project includes a transition from the existing SharePoint platform to the Modern
Campus CMS, which both colleges have successfully used since 2011. The goals of this
project are to enhance our web presence by improving the user experience, ensuring
consistent design and layout, simplifying content management, and improving accessibility.
The Domain and VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) consolidation project includes the following goals:
- Enable users to access their VDI desktops within a single domain
- Consolidate infrastructure to allow for better utilization of resources, such as storage and computing power
- Reduce the complexity and time associated with maintaining separate systems for each department
- Implement a unified approach to security, including centralized monitoring, threat detection, and response systems
- Implement disaster recovery to ensure business continuity, protecting data and minimizing downtime
