West Valley-Mission Community College District believes that long-term disability (LTD) coverage is important because anyone at any age may become injured or ill for an extended period of time. LTD coverage will replace a monthly maximum of $5,000 if you are disabled for more than 90 days or at the end of accumulated sick leave, whichever is later, and are unable to work. LTD benefits are offset with other sources of income, such as Social Security and Workers' Compensation. Employees are automatically enrolled in LTD via SmartBen. To request a copy of the Certificate of Coverage, please contact the Human Resources Benefits Department. Pre-existing condition exclusions apply.
