Citations and Appeals

  • Parking citations issued by the District Police Department are issued with the authority of the California Vehicle Code (C.V.C.) and the authorization of the West Valley-Mission Community College District Board of Trustees. District parking citations are legal documents that will be issued and processed in accordance with applicable state and local laws and regulations.
  • Citations may be issued for parking or traffic violations. Parking and traffic regulations are in effect pursuant to 21113(a) C.V.C.
  • In the event that you receive a parking citation while on campus, please carefully follow the payment or appeal instructions printed on your citation. Failure to do so may result in the addition of a late penalty amount and a hold being placed on the registration of your vehicle. Vehicles with five or more outstanding citations are subject to tow.
  • It is the responsibility of every driver to know and obey the West Valley-Mission Community College District parking regulations and the California Vehicle Code when parked on WVMCCD Campuses.
  • The West Valley-Mission College District Parking Regulations and the California Vehicle Code (C.V.C.) are enforced at all times. Vehicles not properly parked, or not in compliance with West Valley-Mission Community District Parking regulations, or the California Vehicle Code, are subject to citation and possible tow.
