Investigations

It is the goal of the college district police investigation office to investigate any crime or mishap that occurs on the West Valley-Mission College District property; and to report its findings to the College District Police Chief, the College District Chancellor's Office and if applicable, to theSanta Clara County District Attorney's Officefor possible criminal prosecution.

What We Investigate

The West Valley-Mission College District Police is the primary law enforcement agency for the properties controlled by the West Valley-Mission Community College District. The Investigations office assists officers of the District Police with on-going criminal investigations, collects and processes evidence and works as a liaison between the College District Police and the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. The District Police also maintains working relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

We maintain two written MOU's (Memorandums of Understanding) with the Santa Clara County Office of the Sheriffand the City of Santa Clara Police Department outlining our Part-1 Crime Offenses, investigative responsibilities, and hours of operations.

The College District Police does its best to investigate criminal activity on its 2 college campuses, but we cannot do it alone. We rely on citizens getting involved, stepping forward and reporting crimes. If you have witnessed a crime, suspicious activity or behavior out of the ordinary, please call.
