Welcome

Welcome Alums! We’ve been looking for you!

Whether you are a former student at West Valley College or Mission College, connecting with you is important to us.

Our Office of Alumni Engagement wants to hear what exciting things you’ve been doing and we also want to keep you informed about interesting things happening on campus.

Thanks to a former bond measure both West Valley College and Mission College are experiencing some necessary upgrades—from new buildings and sports fields to improved areas for student learning and engagement.

Between both colleges, the WVMCC District has been providing quality education for nearly 100 years. Our former students and graduates have advanced well in their careers and within their communities too, and many are holding key positions throughout Silicon Valley and beyond. We are extremely proud of our graduates and their accomplishments both academically and professionally.

Our doors are always open to our Alums, so please consider coming back to campus— take a class on a subject of interest, attend an event, or enjoy a guided tour to see for yourself what new improvements have taken place. We know you’ll be impressed.

We hope to see you soon!

 Alumni Spotlight

WVC Alumni Spotlight – Dr. Brian Allman
BrianAllman.JPG
J. Brian Allman, DDS, is a standout alum of West Valley College (WVC). From 1978-80 Dr. Allman attended West Valley College on both its campuses— the old Campbell site and the newer Saratoga location where he was involved in campus activities and served as student body president.

After receiving an A.S. Degree from West Valley College, Allman attended Santa Clara University (SCU) earning a B.S. Degree in chemistry and physics. While attending SCU, he was sought out by IBM to work on a special project at its South San Jose Campus, an assignment he gladly accepted. Next, the industrious alum was off to Southern California where he attended UCLA School of Dentistry.

Today, you’ll find Dr. Allman in Reno, Nevada, where he has a successful dental practice. The office is a busy place where every patient is greeted with a big smile and a cheery hello. In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Allman is also one of the nation’s top specialists in the areas of sleep apnea and TMJ and is the founder of the TMJ Therapy.

 Giving Back

Our Alums are a big part of the success at both of our colleges and they continue to give back in various ways.

Some Alums serve as guest speakers and experts on special educational panels, others serve as event volunteers, and still others lend their support by underwriting scholarships for students in need.

If you are interested in supporting your alma mater in some way, please give us a call at (408)741-2652 or email us.

Your College. Then. Now. Always.
