I am sending this out to everyone but asking for replies from Department Chairs. Thanks so much for taking the time.

Dear Department Chairs:

ACE is undertaking a study of lecture and lab loads in preparation for

negotiating any load changes needed in our contract. We would like to ask

Department Chairs to respond, at your earliest convenience, to the ACE president

with answers to the following informational questions:

1) How are classes in your department currently loaded (lecture and/or lab)?

2) Is this current load satisfactory to your department? If not, what changes

would you suggest be made and why?

3) Are there any general load issues in your department that you would like ACE

to be aware of?

You timely response is requested to allow us adequate preparation time for

negotiations.
